Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday during an all-party meeting on Covid vaccines delivery and distribution said that state governments advice will be considered on the matter as to who all will get the inoculation first, and asked political leaders for their suggestions.

Modi said, "Experts believe that the vaccines will be ready in a few weeks, and Indian scientists are very confident of developing them.”

He added that public health will be a topmost priority for the government as pricing of the vaccines is concerned.

The vaccination process will start only after the experts give nod, said Modi.

Vaccination would be first given to frontline Covid warriors and health workers.

The all-party meeting was called for suggestions for feedback on the progress made so far and was attended by all political parties in Parliament.

Earlier, the Prime Minister had interacted with the team of vaccine developers and visited three cities on Saturday to review and check the stock of vaccine development and manufacturing process, going in the Zydus Biotech Park in Ahmedabad, the Bharat Biotech in Hyderabad and the Serum Institute of India in Pune.
