South Delhi's Andrews Ganj street to be renamed after Sushant Singh Rajput, proposal passed by SDMC

Delhi Congress Vice-President and Councilor Abhishek Dutt proposed the naming of the road in September last year, which was passed by South Delhi Municipal Corporation on Wednesday.

Now a road in Andrews Ganj in South Delhi will be known after the late Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput. Delhi Congress Vice-President and Councilor Abhishek Dutt proposed the naming of the road in September last year, which was passed by South Delhi Municipal Corporation on Wednesday.

Abhishek had demanded that Sushant Singh Rajput was an engineering student and had a connection with Delhi. Therefore, in Andrews Ganj ward, Road number 8 (the road from Andrews Ganj to Indira Camp) was sought to be named after Sushant Singh Rajput. Significantly, most of the residents in this area are from Bihar. In this work, Dutt also got the support of the local people so that Sushant can be remembered.

ANI quoted Dutt who said, "Six months ago I received a request to rename a street in Andrews Ganj area after Sushant Singh Rajput. The proposal has finally been approved. We will soon be inaugurating this street. It is very important to give him the respect he deserves."

Abhishek announced this Sushant Singh Rajput's 35th birthday when the entire India was celebrating 'Sushant Day' on social media. 

Before this, In Sushant Singh Rajput's hometown, Purnia (Bihar), a road and an intersection have been named after the actor. The intersection, which was earlier called Ford Company Chowk, has been renamed as Sushant Singh Rajput chowk
