After Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) Muslim students union came in support of Tablighi Jamaat and demanded revocation of FIR against the management of the Nizamuddin Markaz, SSP of Jammu and Kashmir Imtiyaz Hussain slammed the Nizamuddin Markaz management. Imtiyaz took to Twitter and said that while 'Islamophobia is a prejudice that needs fierce opposition', Nizamuddin Markaz is nothing but 'plain stupidity in the name of Allah'.
"Dear Muslims, Tablighi Jamaat committed a crime against humanity. Don’t defend them. I am not encouraging Islamophobia, it is a prejudice that needs fierce opposition but if this isn’t plain stupidity in the name of Allah, then what is?" Hussain said in a tweet.

Recently, posters were shared by one Muslim Students of JNU (MSJ), demanding that the FIR against Maulana Saad Kandalwi, be revoked. In the poster, the group, supposedly founded by Sharjeel Imam, who is currently in prison on sedition charges, says, "Stand against Islamophobia, Muslims are not your scapegoats."
