Bandra Police have registered a first information report (FIR) against Rajput’s sisters, Priyanka Singh and Mitu Singh, and Dr. Tarun Kumar, an associate professor of cardiology from Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, for abetting suicide, cheating, forgery, and criminal conspiracy. However, as per the directions of the Supreme Court, the FIR complaint has been transferred to the CBI.
Now, Sushant's family lawyer Vikas Singh in a press conference termed Rhea's FIR as illegal and a violation of the Supreme Court verdict by the Mumbai Police. Taking a jibe at Rhea Chakraborty, Vikas Singh said that Bandra Police Station seems to be Rhea Chakraborty's second home as she runs to the police station over all kinds of petty issues.
Vikas said that the FIR registered by the Bandra Police is baseless, illegal and goes against the direction of the Supreme Court. The apex body gave the liberty to file FIR in Sushant's case in terms of inquest proceedings. During the proceedings, if the CBI or the Mumbai Police felt some cognizable offence then they had the liberty to file an FIR.
Vikas added that the Supreme Court never gave the liberty to the accused to file an FIR. Citing an example of judgement of TT Anthony if one wants to file a complaint then they have to give a statement under the same FIR. What Vikas Singh meant that Rhea Chakraborty's could have registered her statements to the CBI. The CBI then had investigated this and the agency would have considered that in their chargesheet.

Sushant's family lawyer also pointed out another violation of Supreme Court's order as Rhea has filed an FIR against Dr Tarun Kumar. Vikas said that going by the supreme court ruling, without forming a team of medical experts no FIR can be filed against Doctors. However, there were no medical teams were formed by the Mumbai Police they simply registered the FIR.
Vikas accused the Bandra Police of just filing the FIR to amuse Rhea Chakraborty as the various sections imposed by them is without any proves and cross-examination.
