Viral Video Gurdaspur: Religious Conversion in Punjab, 2 held for forcefully converting Sikh man into Christian, watch

The Sikh leaders have sat on a dharna in front of the police station late in the evening demanding registration of a case against the accused.

Shocking news of religious conversion has surged up that has also raised communal tension in the district. A video is becoming viral where 2 people are forcefully trying to convert the youth of the Sikh community into Christianity. Both the accused have been handed over to the police.

Reportedly, the accused have been identified as Balkar Masih and Jagtar Singh, both of whom are residents of Gurdaspur. The victim of religious conversion is Upkar Singh, who was forced to embrace Christianity.

The victim works on a poultry farm and informed that 2 people who claimed to be pastors were visiting him again and again and forcing him to turn into a Christian. He later informed his owner about the same who called the Police and got both of them arrested.

On the row of religious conversion, leaders of the Sikh organization have alleged that the accused are self-claimed pastors and for the same, they have gone on the protest to put a stop to these conversions.

Leaders like Bhai Rajendra Singh, Bhai Mukhtar Singh, Bhai Amrik Singh, Bhai Lakhwinder Singh, Bhai Bikramjit Singh, Didar Singh, Parminder Singh, Balraj Singh, Harinder Singh, Randeep Singh, Jitendra Singh Adi sat on a dharna in front of the police station late in the evening demanding registration of a case against the accused.

On the other hand, the SHO of Kalanaur police station Manjeet Singh said that the matter is in his attention and has assured that action will be taken against whosoever is found guilty as per law.

This is not the first time that any such news has come to the fore, earlier also communal tensions were raised in the Tarn Taran district when allegedly some unidentified men vandalized the church because they were unhappy with pastors who were trying to get the people of other religions converted into theirs
