DC Ludhiana launches OLA’s free oxygen concentrators’ facility

He told that those who require oxygen need to use the Ola app and make a request for a concentrator by providing a few basic details in-app.

Deputy Commissioner Varinder Kumar Sharma on Wednesday launched a free facility of oxygen concentrators by Ola Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Ola, to the Covid-19 patients through its app under its O2ForIndia initiative. 

Accompanied by Assistant Commissioner (UT) Dr. Harjinder Singh, Ola's regional head Gurjot Singh, Punjab head Raman Bhardwaj, the Deputy Commissioner thanked the company for extending help to the patients in this hour of distress and said that it is great service to humanity. 

He said that oxygen concentrators would be provided free of cost to those in need by the company and told that these oxygen concentrators have been of great help for the home isolated Covid-19 patients or those going post Covid recovery by providing life-saving gas to them without depending upon oxygen cylinders.

He said that this equipment concentrates oxygen from ambient air by capturing and filtering the air and can be booked through the Ola app.

Ola's regional head Gurjot Singh said that users just have to pay a refundable safety deposit of Rs. 5,000 per machine only. He said that the company would deliver and pick up oxygen concentrators free of cost from patients. 

He told that those who require oxygen need to use the Ola app and make a request for a concentrator by providing a few basic details in-app.  He said that after the submission of the application, Ola would deliver the concentrator as soon as possible to those who requested it through the app from our Haibowal office. He told that Ola will ensure proper sterilization of the equipment after use by someone.
