6 celebrity Twitter accounts that got restored after Elon Musk took over

Elon Musk ever since taking over as the new Twitter boss has made a frequent cut into the headlines with his arbitrary and lop-sided decisions.

Among many of his decision, he went on to reinstate the Twitter accounts of prominent celebrities who were suspended from the platform owing to violating the company’s terms. A look at 6 prime of them.

The former US President, Donald Trump, was suspended from Twitter in January 2021 after the insurrection at the Capitol, fearing the “risk of further incitement of violence.”

Last month, Kanye West aka Ye’s Twitter account was suspended after he made posts deemed by social media users as antisemitic. Those tweets were removed before the suspension.

US comedian Kathy Griffin who had changed her name to Elon Musk on her Twitter handle was suspended from the platform, owning to defiance of parody name rules, however, her account was soon restored.

The Babylon Bee is a conservative parody account on Twitter. In March, the account was banned for misgendering Rachel Levine, a trans woman currently serving as US assistant secretary of health.

Andrew Tate, the controversial influencer, was suspended from the microblogging platform in 2017 for violation of term, one of his tweets said women should bare some responsibility for being sexually assaulted.

Jordan Peterson is a Canadian psychologist whose account was suspended in 2018 after violating Twitter’s “hateful conduct guidelines”. This was after he made an offensive tweet on Elliot Page with their dead name.

Soon, after reinstating Trump’s account fans in India started tweeting with #KanganaRanaut to bring her back on the platform as well, however, there is no such move initiated up until now.
