Launch Announcement: Piaggio Vehicles launched its popular Vespa scooter’s Justin Bieber X Edition in India on Thursday.
Pricing: The Indian subsidiary of the Italian auto group, Piaggio, has priced it at ?6.45 lakhs (ex-showroom).
Market Competitors: In the Indian market, this scooter will compete with the Yamaha Aerox 155 and Aprilia SXR 160, priced at ?1.42 lakhs and ?1.44 lakhs respectively.
Limited Availability: Only a single-digit number of units, less than 10, will be available for sale in India.
Import and Booking: The scooter will be imported to India as a completely built unit (CBU) after pre-ordering. Buyers can pre-book through the official website or any Vespa dealership in India.
Design: The X Vespa edition has been designed by Canadian pop star, Justin Bieber. The scooter is available in a monochrome white color style.
Performance: The Justin Bieber X Vespa edition in India features a 150CC 3-valve single-cylinder engine. This air-cooled engine with electronic injection generates a maximum power of 12.5 hp and a maximum torque of 12.4 nm.
Previous Variants: The scooter was launched a year ago with three engine variants - 50cc, 125cc, and 150cc.
Features: The scooter is equipped with a single-channel ABS with a 200mm front disc brake, a 140mm rear drum brake, a rectangular LED headlight, a 4.3-inch colored and multifunctional TFT display with smartphone connectivity, 12-inch alloy wheels, an LED tail light, and a remote seat opener.
