In a heart-breaking development, a Bhojpuri actress Amrita Pandey famous by the stage name Annapurna was found dead on Saturday. Amrita Pandey was only 27 and she was reportedly found hanging on the ceiling fan with her saree in her home at Divya Dham apartment in Adampura area, Bhagalpur, Bihar. Her parents brought down Amrita Pandey's body and took her to a nearby hospital as soon as possible where she was declared dead. In the investigation, Amrita Pandey's WhatsApp Status has been found in which she sounded disturbed. Now, the question arises who was Amrita Pandey aka Annapurna?

As mentioned above, Amrita Pandey was known by her stage name Annapurna. She was a popular name in the Bhojpuri film industry. Amrita had also been a part of several Hindi web series, films, and commercials. In the past, Amrita shared screen with Bhojpuri actor & singer Khesari Lal Yadav in the film Deewanapan as well.
In 2022, Amrita Pandey got married to Chandramani Jhangad, a Mumbai-based animation engineer. Amrita used to live with Chandramani in Mumbai. Amrita Pandey's husband Chandramani Jhangad is a resident of Chhattisgarh. On April 12, Amrita came to attend the wedding of her elder sister Veena Pandey. After marriage on 18th April, she stayed in Bhagalpur. However, her husband returned to Mumbai. Amrita woke up late on Saturday.
A report quoted the Bhojpuri actress's close relative who said that Amrita was battling depression and other mental health issues for quite some time and she was even seeking treatment for the same. She also had work-related issues. Cops are investigating her shocking death, however, depression is suspected to be the cause of her suicide.
While Amrita Pandey's suicide note is yet to be found, she posted a status on WhatsApp before her death. Her WhatsApp status reads, "Do naav me savaar thi uski zindagi, humne apni naav duba ke uska safar aasaan kar diya (His life is on two boats, we made his path easier by sinking our boat)."
