Controversial YouTuber hailing from Bihar, Manish Kasyap on Thursday joined the BJP at the party headquarters in New Delhi ahead of Lok Sabha Elections 2024. Manish Kasyap arrived at the party headquarters with Bhojpuri actor & BJP leader Manoj Tiwari. Previously, Manish Kasyap had announced his intention to contest the Lok Sabha elections from the West Champaran constituency. However, he has now decided against contesting the elections. Notably, the BJP is yet to announce whether Manish Kasyap will be fighting Lok Sabha Polls or not. Who is Manish Kasyap?
Manish Kasyap's real name is Tripurari Tiwari and he is known as a YouTuber and social worker. He was born on 9 March 1991 in West Champaran district of Bihar. Kasyap has studied engineering in Pune. He also worked for a few years. After this, from 2016-17, he started posting local problems on social media and due to this, his popularity increased. Meanwhile, he also created a YouTube channel named Sach Tak, which got a lot of reach and people started liking him.

Manish Kasyap's fame skyrocketed in March 2023, the Economic Offences Unit (EOU) of Bihar Police arrested him and two others on the charge of circulating fake videos showing attacks on migrant workers from Bihar in Tamil Nadu.
Several FIRs were registered against him in Tamil Nadu and Bihar. Fearing arrest, Kasyap had surrendered before the police in Bihar in March. On April 6, a special team of the Tamil Nadu Police arrested Kasyap from Bihar. It brought him to Tamil Nadu on transit remand after the Madurai Crime Branch police registered a case against him.
Not only this, Kasyap was slapped with the stringent National Security Act (NSA) by the Tamil Nadu Government. In total, Manish spent 9 months in jail before he was granted bail by Patna High Court.
In November 2023, the Madras High Court quashed the detention order passed against Youtuber Manish Kasyap under the National Security Act for allegedly circulating fake videos of migrant workers from Bihar being attacked in the State of Tamil Nadu. The Madurai bench of Justice M Sundar and Justice R Sakthivel dropped the proceedings against Kasyap under the National Security Act.
Manish Kasyap is a staunch critic of Tejaswi Yadav and the RJD. After joining the BJP, Manish said, "We came from Bihar with Manoj Tiwari, yesterday. I could be released from jail only due to them and the bad days of my life ended. So, I joined the BJP. We have to strengthen Bihar. Lalu's family looted and destroyed Bihar. So, I joined the BJP. Together with BJP, I will strengthen Bihar...Allegations were levelled against me but the Patna Court not only granted me bail but also acquitted me. NSA slapped on me was withdrawn...My fight against those who defame Sanatana and those who are against nationalism will continue..."
