Diljit Dosanjh to appear on Amitabh Bachchan's KBC 17 , Says The Money Will Aid Punjab Flood Victims

Diljit Dosanjh will be seen in a special episode of 'Kaun Banega Crorepati 17' with his winnings to be donated to Punjab flood victims.

Punjabi singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh is all set to appear on the hot seat opposite Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan in Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) Season 17. Diljit confirmed this in response to a fan’s question on social media.

A user asked Diljit on X (formerly Twitter), “How was your experience on KBC?” Diljit replied in a mix of Punjabi and English, hinting that his appearance is connected to Punjab’s flood relief efforts.

Following his response, fans began speculating that whatever prize money Diljit wins on KBC will be donated to flood-affected families in Punjab. While the exact air date of the episode hasn’t been officially announced yet, sources suggest that the teaser may drop soon, and the episode is expected to air later this month.

After the devastating floods in Punjab, many celebrities extended their support and Diljit was among the first. He announced that he would adopt 10 villages affected by the floods. His team has since been working actively on the ground, distributing food, water, and medicines to the affected communities.

Meanwhile, Diljit was recently in the news for the controversy surrounding his film Sardaar Ji 3. After the Pahalgam attack, the film’s release faced backlash due to the presence of Pakistani actress Hania Aamir.

The film’s trailer triggered protests, leading to its limited release only in overseas markets. Clarifying his stance, Diljit stated that the movie was shot when conditions were normal and reaffirmed, “For me, the nation always comes first.”

During his ORA World Tour in Malaysia, Diljit also addressed questions about the India–Pakistan cricket match during the Asia Cup, emphasising that his film was made before the attack, while the matches occurred later.

Up next, Diljit will be seen in Border 2, where he portrays Flight Officer Nirmaljit Singh Sekhon, the only Indian Air Force officer to receive the Param Vir Chakra. In the 1971 Indo-Pak war, Sekhon single-handedly chased six Pakistani fighter jets, shooting down two before being martyred. Directed by Anurag Singh, the film also stars Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, and Ahan Shetty and is expected to release on January 23, 2026.
