Northern Railway has announced the cancellation and short termination/origination of numerous trains on September 1, 2025. The reason as far stated for the cancellation is the suspended traffic between Kathua and Madhopur and a misalignment issue on Bridge No. 17 in Jammu Division. This disruption is caused by broken clogs at multiple locations adversely impacting on the train operations in the region.
As per the official press release, a total of 52 trains have been cancelled, with some trains originating or terminating short of their usual stops to manage the situation.

- Jammu Tawi to Howrah Himagiri Express (Train No. 12332)
- Jammu Tawi Rajdhani Express (Train No. 12426)
- Jammu Tawi to Kolkata (KOAA) Express (Train No. 13152)
- Jammu Mail (Train No. 20434)
- Various Vande Bharat Express trains between Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra (SVDK) and New Delhi (NDLS)
A number of other crucial trains, such as the Duronto Express (Train No. 12266), Jammu Tawi to BSB Express (Train No. 12238), and Shalimar Malini Express (Train No. 14662), have also been cancelled according to the report.
