AIIMS officials deny reports of underworld don Chhota Rajan's death

Internetwas abuzz with news of Underworld don and gangster Chhota Rajan died due toCovid-19, however, All India Institute of Medical Services (AIIMS) officials ruledout the reports to be false and said the gangster is alive and undergoingtreatment.

Rajan,61, has been kept in solitary confinement in one of Tihar's largest cells,where he was not allowed to associate with other inmates for security reasons.Officials believe he might have developed the virus from an asymptomatic jailofficer after which he was shifted to AIIMS, according to reports.

Dueto a slew of comorbidities, including diabetes, cardiac disease, kidneyfailure, hernia, laparotomy, and hypertension, the deceased was classified as ahigh-risk coronavirus patient.
