Mumbai Mafia: Police vs Underworld

Released on 6 January 2023 on Netflix, this is a Netflix documentary film directed by ‘Raaghav Dar’ and ‘Francis Longhurst’ and produced by ‘Morgan Matthews’ and ‘Sophie Jones’. It delves into the true story of the intense conflict between Mumbai Police and the city’s organized crime syndicates, particularly ‘Dawood Ibrahim’s’ infamous ‘D-Company’, during the 1990s. The documentary uses archival footage, news reports, and interviews with former police officers, including ‘encounter specialist’, ‘Pradeep Sharma’ and journalist ‘Hussain Zaidi’.

Black Warrant

Khakee: The Bihar Chapter

Starring ‘Ashutosh Rana’, ‘Karan Tacker’, ‘Nikita Dutta’, and many others, it was released on 25 November 2022 and gained massive popularity among crime series enthusiasts. It is based on the book “Bihar Diaries” by IPS officer ‘Amit Lodha’ and depicts the true story of the capture of sharpshooter ‘Pintu Mahato’ of the ‘Ashok Mahato' gang of Bihar.

Amar Singh Chamkila

Featuring the famous actor, musician, and singer ‘Diljit Dosanjh’, with actress ‘Parineeti Chopra, this movie is a biographical drama, depicting the life of musician ‘Amar Singh Chamkila’. Directed, written, and produced by Imtiaz Ali, it received critical acclaim and was called a return to form for Imtiaz’s career. It was released on Netflix on 12 April 2024, just two days after its theatrical release in Mumbai on 8 April 2024.
