Schools have not yet reached halfway in awarding marks to the students

The Central Board of Education (CBSE) had announced thatthe result of grade 10 will be out on July 15 but the chances of this statementto be true seems to be rare as the controller of examination states that thestudents will have to wait a bit longer.

He said, "This time the evaluation process is not inthe hands of the board. The marks tabulation process is being done by theschools, and if the board gets the data from schools within this week, then theresult can be announced on the said deadline by July 20, but not thisweek."

He further added, "We are trying to announce theresult by July 20. But, it's too early to confirm, as the result declarationprocess can be delayed if the schools take time to send the internal assessmentmarks. The result will surely be announced this month."

The marking scheme for grade 10th decided bythe board was that 80 marks will be given on the basis of written exam and therest of the 20 marks will be internal assessments or practicals. However, if anystudent is not happy with their score he/she may give offline exams when theCovid situation gets normal.

When he was asked about the result declaration of grade12th he said that the process is still in process and will bedeclared on July 31, 2021, and definitely not in this week. “The decision tocancel class 12 board exams has been taken some time back. Schools have not yetreached halfway in awarding marks to the students”, he told.

The criteria on which he said that grade 12thmarks will be given is 30% weightage will be given to grade 11th aswell as class 10th each, and the rest of the 40% would be awardedfrom class 12.

When the result will be declared, the students will beable to see their results on cbse.gov.in or cbseresults.nic.in. and all it isadvised that the students should always keep an eye on the sites for theirresults and the latest updates.
