Govt terms comments by celebrities "sensationalist" after Rihanna, Greta Thunberg tweet

The e-activism on Twitter and other micro-blogging sites have intensified after the international celebrities tweeting about the protests in India.

After Rihanna, an international superstar and GretaThunberg, a climate activist tweeted in support of farmers protesting againstthe laws passed by union government, the government said, "temptation ofsensationalist comments, especially by celebrities, others, not accurate."

The e-activism on Twitter and other micro-blogging siteshave intensified after the international celebrities tweeting about the protestsin India.

Moreover, the former adult performing star Mia Khalifahas also come out in support of farmers protest and tweeted, " Whatin the human rights violations is going on?! They cut the internet around NewDelhi?! #FarmersProtest". On Instagram, Mia wrote, "India has cutinternet around New Delhi amidst farmers protest. What the Fu*k is goingon?"

While Punjabi singers have already come in support of theprotesting farmers, now the international stars have started giving statementsabout the protest that is intensifying despite allegations on several groups toderail the protest.

Although, the Supreme Court has put the implementation oflaws on hold and government has also offered to put the laws in abeyance for 18months, the farmers want the repeal of laws.
