As a woman of color and an immigrant, IndraNooyi did not have an easy journey to becoming the former chairman and CEO ofPepsiCo. Indra Nooyi’s memoir was released on 28th September; her publisher iscalling an unvarnished take" on her rise to becoming one of the world'smost powerful women.
Indra Nooyi tells the story of that journeyin her memoir, My Life in Full (published by Hachette India) in 313 pages thatare packed with her experiences of settling in America, negotiating theboardroom, balancing work and family life and what the pandemic has meant forworkplaces.
Nooyi describes the events that shaped herlife from childhood to her becoming Pepsico CEO, a position from which sheretired in 2018.
“As I wrote My Life in Full, I saw howmy own story relates to our evolving global economy and how it may inform ourprogress on better integrating work and family in the years ahead,” Nooyi said ina statement. “I hope this book inspires business leaders, policymakers and allwomen and men passionate about easing the work-and-family burden to cometogether and create change.”
“One Tuesday in November 2009, after hours ofmeetings in Washington DC with two dozen top US and Indian business executives,I found myself standing between the US President and the PM of India,” shewrites in the introduction of the memoir.

Indra has shared some of her beautiful lifeexperiences in her memoir. She said once about balancing her work and familylife, “‘Many times as I tried to get some work done, with my baby sleeping onmy legs & Preetha snoozing beside me, I wondered what I was doing. Istarted to ask myself: should I keep working? What would be the consequences ifI quit? Would I have regrets & resentments that would create a negativeenvironment at home"
