On the 72nd Republic day of India, President Ram NathKovind greeted the people of the nation and invoked emotions when he said thatsoldiers ensure the security on the borders while farmers of the nation ensurefood security.
It is an irony where the soldiers and farmers of thenations who both contribute a lot in our country's growth and development andthe nation that gave the slogan of 'Jai Jawan Jai Kisan' are standing againsteach other.
Farmers are carrying out a tractor rally to protestagainst the contentious three laws. They are urging the government to repeal theselaws. Similarly, in any law and order situation, it is the soldiers who aretold to protect the civilians and public property in case of any possibility ofany untoward incident.
As per media reports, the police has been firing tear gasshells and using water cannons to disperse the farmers and prevent them frommoving towards the outer ring road. Similarly, the farmers are dismantling thebarricades to march on.
The situation has become topsy-turvy with soldiers andfarmers against each other on the Republic day of India. Riot control force hasalso been called by the police.
