ITBP jawans wave Triranga on frozen water bodies in Ladakh, watch video

Indo Tibetian Border Police jawans celebrated Republic Day at a high-altitude border post in Ladakh.

Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) soldiers on Tuesday marched the freezing temperatures to wave the Indian national flag in Ladakh on the occasion of the 72nd Republic Day. The jawans swing the Tiranga at high altitudes and frozen water bodies in the union territory. The video has gone viral on social media and is receiving love from people. 

A battalion of ITBP jawans marched with the tricolour on a frozen water body in Ladakh to celebrate the Republic Day.

Another ITBP soldiers troops of both men and women were seen celebrating the Republic Day at a high-altitude border outpost in the union territory.

17 ITBP personnel were on Monday were bestowed with police service medals in various categories.

Two officers, Assistant Commandant Anurag Kumar Singh and Deputy Commandant Rajesh Kumar Luthra had been honoured with police medals for gallantry, three with the President's Police Medal for Distinguished Service and 12 with police medals for Meritorious Service.

The ITBP contingent is set to be part of the Republic Day Parade on Tuesday.
