Khalsa Aid to provide oxygen machines for patients in Delhi

The Khalsa Aid said that to avail the service people would have to fill up a registration form. Patients that have low saturation levels would be given priority and the oxygen concentrators would be delivered in all parts of Delhi

India is suffering from the second wave of coronavirusand the situation in the country is deteriorating day by day. The Health systemis crashing down as hospitals lack vaccines, beds, and oxygen supply. Thenational capital Delhi is suffering the most as many patients are dying dailydue to a shortage of oxygen.

Amid this unprecedented crisis, Khalsa Aid has comeforward to provide help to the country. The U.K.-based charity organization hasreached out to help Covid patients in Delhi by arranging oxygen concentrators.

Khalsa Aid announced this on Twitter, “In thisunprecedented state of a medical emergency, we have fortunately managed toarrange limited Oxygen concentrator for Covid19 patients. This project will beinitiated from Delhi as it is the worst affected city.”

“Together, we will fight this situation” Khalsa Aidcomforted.

The Khalsa Aid said that to avail the service people wouldhave to fill up a registration form. Patients that have low saturation levelswould be given priority and the oxygen concentrators would be delivered in allparts of Delhi.

The director of Khalsa Aid Project, Amarpreet Singh said,“There is a huge gap between the demand and supply of oxygen, we want to play aminuscule part to bridge that gap. Though our effort is like a drop of water inan ocean, it was much needed. We were getting requests for oxygen so we managedto procure concentrators for the needy underprivileged patients.”

Till now the organization has procured 65 oxygenconcentrators and said it will provide more in the coming weeks taking thenumber to 100. One oxygen concentrator costs Rs 60,000 and onwards in themarket.
