The backbone of the Indian health system, both public andprivate, has been broken due oxygen shortage.

India is losing many people by the day due to shortage inthis life-saving gas. The situation is so dire that patients and their familiesare forced to wait outside the hospitals. Many die waiting there.

PM Narendra Modi-led central government has decided toimport oxygen concentrators from abroad. Ten thousand concentrators have beenordered and the imports will start in the next week.

Further, the government has tied up with many privatecompanies to have them import their oxygen concentrators from abroad.

The hospitals have been forced to deny new admissions becausethey do not have oxygen supply to meet the demands.

To ease the supply chain, the customs department has beeninstructed to ensure speedy processing of goods related to Covid 19. This includesoxygen-related equipments.

We, at this point in time are facing a humanitarian crisis.The pandemic Corona is not reducing its grip on our motherland and people arelosing their family members.
