Last year, when the pandemic was at its peak people werechanting the slogan of ‘Go Corona Go’ to make the virus go away. This year,when the second wave of the corona is sweeping the country, locals of a villagein Madhya Pradesh have started chanting ‘Bhag Corona Bhag.’
A video has gone viral on social media of people runningwith burning torches and chanting Bhag Corona Bhag in the hope to makecoronavirus stop. The incident occurred on April 18 in Ganeshpura village ofAgar Malwa district of Madhya Pradesh.
According to locals, the corona will drive away afterperforming the ritual and the village will be free from pandemic. People saidthat the elders of the village told the ritual and claimed it will make villagecorona free. While performing the ritual, a person from every family shouldtake part and run with lighting torches in their hands and throw them outsidethe village. According to elders, the ritual should be performed on Wednesdayor Sunday night.
Locals said that many people in the villager had a fever.After performing the ritual on Sunday night no case of the corona was reported.
