Navjot Sidhu snubbed by Congress high command, his request to meet Sonia Gandhi denied

As per information, Navjot Singh Sidhu couldn't even meet Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and he had returned to Punjab empty-handed.

Punjab Chief Minister and Punjab Congress president areat loggerheads and a new twist has been reported in the tussle after NavjotSingh Sidhu has to leave Delhi without meeting party high command.

The ongoing rift between Captain Amarinder Singh andNavjot Singh Sidhu has not been over yet. As per the reports, on Thursday, thePunjab Pradesh Congress Committee president was declined meeting with Sonia Gandhi.

Reportedly, amid infighting in Punjab Congress, Sidhucame to Delhi to meet Gandhis, but he was not given the appointment to meet theCongress High Command. As per information, Navjot Singh Sidhu couldn't even meetCongress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and he had returned to Punjabempty-handed.

It is being speculated that Party High Command was upsetwith Sidhu after he in a function in Amritsar on August 27, issued an ultimatumto the party’s top leadership saying that he won't 'spare them' if he’s notgiven a free hand to take decisions in Punjab Congress.

Navjot Sidhu stated, “If he is allowed to work accordingto his own policy of hope and faith, he will ensure the Congress rule in thestate for 20 years. But if you don’t allow me to make decisions, then I can’thelp anything.”

On September 1, Congress party-in-chief Punjab HarishRawat met Chief Minister Amarinder Singh. After this, Harish Rawat said thatthe displeasure of the ministers and MLAs has been conveyed to CaptainAmarinder, he will meet disgruntled ministers and other leaders and may soonresolve all the issues.

The meeting was held in CM’s Siswan farmhouse in Mohali, andRawat discussed Punjab Congress 18-point agenda to which Capt Amarinder repliedthat work was being done on all these issues. On Thursday (today), he will makea complete report and give it to the Congress high command.

Meanwhile, another meeting of Harish Rawat with CongressMLAs, Ministers and among other leaders is being held in Chandigarh. Besides,Tript Rajinder Singh Bajwa, Sukhbinder Singh Sarkaria, Sukhjinder SinghRandhawa and Charanjit Singh Channi, who are considered close to Sidhu and whoearlier openly called for Singh's removal as Punjab CM, will meet Rawat againto discuss the party functioning and pre-poll promises issue.
