The National Testing Agency (NTA) on Tuesday announcedthe fresh dates to conduct the pre-medical entrance test as the nation strivesto combat the second deadly wave of Covid-19.
The NEET-UG registration process has been started by theNTA.
According to Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, MBBS/BDSentrance exam will take place on September 12. Aspirants of NEET will be ableto register for the exam from 5 pm on July 13 onwards at ntaneet.nic.in.
Keeping in mind the pandemic situation, the NTA hasdecided to increase the number of test cities from 155 to 198 to ensure socialdistancing. With this, the number of test centers has also been escalated. Lastyear, a total of 3862 centers were fixed to conduct the examination.
Pre-requisites to register for the exam:
In order to book the exam, the candidates are required tohave soft copies of the following:
1. Candidate’sphotograph
2. Signature
3. Left-handthumb impression
4. Class10 mark sheet
5. Class10 passing certificate
6. Class12 mark sheet
7. Class12 Passing Certificate
8. IDProof (Aadhaar Card, etc)
In order to make payment for the examination the candidateshave been directed to pay the fee for NEET 2021 through Debit/Credit/ NetBanking or Unified Payment Interface (UPI) using State Bank of India/ SyndicateBank/ ICICI Bank/ HDFC Bank/ Paytm service provider. The last date to make the feepayment is August 7.
Steps to apply for NEET-UG 2021:
1. Visitthe official website, ntaneet.nic.in
2. Scrollto the bottom of the page, and click on “Fill Registration Form”
3. Fillyour credentials in the form, note down the application number
4. Uploadthe aforementioned documents
5. Payfee through the prescribed modes
6. Savethe fee confirmation page after successfully making payment
Aspirants should note that the registration process forthe NEET-UG 2021 will conclude on August 6. Also, the admit cards will beavailable to download three days prior to the examination date.
The NEET-UG 2021 will be held on September 12. It will bea three-hour-long exam that will take place from 2 pm to 5 pm.
What is the updated exam pattern?
For the exam, the aspirants will be given onequestion-paper containing 180 multiple choice questions from Physics, Chemistry,and Biology (Botany and Zoology).
The latest test pattern will have two sections. Eachsubject will consist of two sections. In Section A, a total of 35 questionswill be there while in Section B, 15 questions will be asked. Out of these 15questions, the candidates have to answer only 10 questions of their choice.
