Chandigarh, April 15: Punjab school education department hasaccelerated the drive for providing online education to the students along withenrollment campaign for the new academic session.
On the instructions of the school education minister Mr.Vijay Inder Singla and under the leadership of educations secretary Mr. KrishanKumar, teachers have started online classes from April 1 due to the closure ofthe school and now process of online learning has further accelerated along theadmissions process.
According to a spokesperson of the school educationdepartment, various online video apps are being used by teachers to ensure theeducation of students due to the epidemic of Covid-19. The latest technology ofonline education is being used to ensure the education of around 25 lakhstudents of government schools. Teachers are creating WhatsApp groups ofstudents to take classes on the 'Zoom App' as well as using the 'Educare App'.They are sending online assignments to students to enhance their learning ability.Enrollment for the new academic session is being done with the help of GoogleForms. At the same time the teachers are going door to door to provide books tothe students.
