Chandigarh, April 20: Even as he assured the industry of allproactive support and cooperation in mitigating the impact of ongoing secondCOVID wave, the Punjab Industries Minister Sundar Sham Arora has assured theindustry of appealed for facilitating migrant workers in every way to ensuretheir well-being and safety.
Our industrial units functioning in the state were providedfull support by Captain Amarinder Singh led state government during COVIDPandemic, during earlier in the year 2020 and the industry in Punjab was able towithstand the COVID crisis and even supported that county by producing enoughsupply of PPE Kits and Masks, Arora said.
Lauding Industry's stupendous role in times of grave crisis,Arora said that even during current year the industrial units have come forwardby manufacturing Medical Oxygen to ensure uninterrupted supply of medicaloxygen.
The Minister also expressed satisfaction that no out wardmovement of Migrant Workers has been reported in the state, a trend visibleacross other states.

Many industrial units across all the districts are dependenton the migrant industrial workers and it is matter of satisfaction that tilldate no out ward movement of Migrant Workers has been reported in the state, hesaid.
He appealed the industry to take care of all their allworkers including their migrant workers in this hard time of COVID and allIndustrial workers may be got vaccinated for COVID dose at the earliest toarrest the further spread of COVID Pandemic.
Arora assured the industry that the state government iscommitted to support and facilitate the industry in every possible way fortheir smooth functioning in the current COVID Pandemic.
Pertinently, as Covid cases continue to rise rapidly acrossthe country, including in Punjab, the state government on Monday orderedstricter restrictions beginning tomorrow, including extension of night curfewtimings (8 pm to 5 am), closure of all bars, cinema halls, Gyms, spas, coachingcentres, sports complexes, with restaurants and hotels to be open only for takeawayand home delivery from Monday to Saturday.
