Sushant Singh’s father files plea seeking ban on movies based on actor’s life; HC issues notice

Other than seeking a complete ban on the movie ‘Nyay: the justice’, ‘suicide or murder: a star was lost’ and ‘Shashank’ his father has asked for an injunction against any such film or publication based on Sushant’s life.

Krishna Kishore Singh, father of Sushant Singh Rajput has moved to Delhi high court against the movies and other series showcasing the Late actor Sushant’s personal life, name, images, caricatures, and other personal stuff in any form. Other then seeking a complete ban on the movie ‘Nyay: the justice’, ‘suicide or murder: a star was lost’ and ‘Shashank’ his father has asked for an injunction against any such film or publication based on Sushant’s life.

 

As a result Justice Manoj Kumar Ohri Issued a notice on Krishna Kishore’s plea that any depiction in the form of film, publication, production, or any kind of portrayal of his personal life is a willful breach of the fundamental right to privacy and it cannot be done without the approval of his family.

 

Advocate Vikas Singh who is appearing for Sushant’s father informed the court that the movie on the radar has planned to release in such a manner that it may have a negative effect on the pending case and can derail the investigation. Rajput’s father has also alleged that these depictions are made to ‘malign’ Sushant’s image and influence the CBI investigation. He said people are taking his son’s death as an opportunity to get fame and make some money. “Many people are taking this opportunity to get fame by developing different theories/stories at the cost of my family’s reputation”, he said.

The suit has been filed by a group of four advocates including Akshay Dev, Varun Singh, Abhijeet Pandey and Samruddhi Bendbhar. Meanwhile, Justice Kumar has notified the filmmakers to put forward their stand by May 24th
