Radha Soami Satsang Beas donates land and gets state-of-the-art complex constructed to facilitate people

CM Channi: role of religious organisations in state’s development remained commendable.

BEAS, NOVEMBER 20: Dedicatingstate-of-the-art building of newly constructed sub-tehsil complex here, PunjabCM Charanjit Singh Channi said that  roleof religious organisations in state’s holistic development had always beenremained commendable.

Expressing gratitude to Radha Soami SatsangBeas for creating such a modern infrastructure, CM Channi said that now themore than 70,000 residents of nearly 30 villages would be directly benefittedfrom this facility at Beas. He said that this complex would ensure the deliveryof administrative works and requisite documents including registration of land,getting fard etc besides having Suwidha Kendra and Fard Kendra. He said thatmaximum citizen services related to different departments would be providedunder one roof thus ensuring timely and prompt issuance of required documentsto people.

Pertinently, Radhasoami Satsang Beas has donated a newly built Sub Tehsil Office tothe Government of Punjab, which can be the one of the modern buildings in thestate with a spacious area having five acres of total land. The sub-tehsilcomplex has a office building with built up area of 15,559 sq ft, Open Shed of10492 sq ft, parking in 22519 sq ft area besides 128156 sq ft of green area.The fully furnished complex has a total 34 rooms including office and courtrooms of sub Tehsildar, rooms for the entire staff and a conference room whilespecial provision has also been made for the camp office of Deputy CommissionerAmritsar. The design, layout and architecture of the building can utilise asmodel for the similar buildings to be built in future.

Later, answering a query of  media persons, CM Channi said thanked theRadha Soami Satsang Beas for constructing sub-tehsil at a cost of Rs. 5 crore.Referring to a query, Channi said that the panel of appointment of DGP hadalready been sent and the appointment would be made accordingly. On the issueof drugs, Punjab Government was making all out efforts to wipe out this menace,said the CM adding that law will take its own course.

Prominent amongst those present on theoccasion included MLAs Santokh Singh Bhalaipur, Tarsem Singh DC and BalwinderSingh Laddi, Chairman PUNGRAIN Sukhjinder Raj Singh, Amritsar DeputyCommissioner Gurpreet Singh Khaira and SSP Rakesh Kaushal.
