RSS chief breaks silence on Covid crisis: “Govt, public became negligent after the first wave”

He said that Indians need to have the same strong mindset in order to triumph over the pandemic.

Ever since the pandemic hit India, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwatbroke his silence on the government handling of the crisis.

Mohan Bhagwat in his series of lectures ‘PositivityUnlimited’ telecasted on Saturday has said that the mere negligence displayed yall sections of the nation after the first Covid-19 wave ended has led India intothe ongoing medical crisis.

Lashing out at administration and public RSS chief said, “Afterthe first wave we all became negligent. People, governments, administration. Weall knew this is coming. Doctors had warned us. Still, we were negligent.”

Stressing on the anticipations of the inevitable third waveduring his series, Bhagwat said, “Now they tell us a third wave could be here.So should we fear it? Or have the right attitude to fight and win against thevirus?"

Notably, with his harsh remarks, the RSS chief sought to preparethe nation for the future by learning a lesson from the prevailing situation.Amidst these troublesome times, Bhagwat encouraged Indians to developconfidence so that they can face the third wave with preparedness.

In his address, Bhagwat also referred to the office of formerBritish Prime Minister Winston Churchill’s where a statement placed on histable read, "There is no pessimism in this office. We are not interestedin the possibility of defeat. They do not exist."

He said that Indians need to have the same strong mindsetin order to triumph over the pandemic.

"The cycle of life and death will continue…thesematters cannot scare us. It is these very circumstances that will train us forthe future," he added.

"Success is not final. Failure is not fatal. Thecourage to continue is the only thing that matters."
