Sulthan can be explained as a solid written and immenselysatisfying movie. A child, Sulthan wholost his mother was raised by a group of psycho head criminals. Sulthan whichwas played by Karthi feels a brotherly bond with those people but is not a fanof the type of violence they do. After the death of his father, he feels theresponsibility of taking care of these 100 men. He rises to the occasion anddecides to transform them into better human beings.
Hitting criminal mind and changing them is a nail-bitingtask but surprisingly the love those men have for Sulthan eased his task.
That one thing that is common in Tamil movies is thestrong choice of music with hard action scenes here, all these factors are athigh voltage. We action we see a classic masala developing in the story.Bakkiyaraj Kannan (the director) the two plot lines of action and masala in a verysmart way and sets the mood for the rest of the movie, unlike his debutdirection ‘Remo’ which was totally relying on star power. This movie seems tohave a strong writing plot and is turning out to be a pleasant yet powerpacksurprise for the audience.
The director has managed to spin an engaging storyboardtaking two south pet topics of rowdy man and farming. For the fans wondering whetherto watch it in theatre or not, Sulthan is definitely a theatre treat. All theslow-motion action drama will be missed if watched on OTT platforms.
