Naadodigal fame Tamil actress Shantini Deva has lodged a complaint with Chennai police against former AIADMK minister Manikandan for cheating, blackmailing and sexually exploiting her forthe past five years.
The 35-year-old actress has demanded strict action against the minister, accusing him of impregnating and forcing her to abort a few times. She further said that Manikandan threatened toleak her private picture and kill her if she publicized their illicit affair.
In the lodged complaint, the actress alleged that the minister got close to her insisting that his wife does not provide proper care. Reportedly, they were in a relationship for five yearsand he had promised to marry her but later refused. “He also used to threaten me saying that he could even kill me as he belongs to the ruling party. He also threatened my parents and we have evidence for it,”she added.
She has also submitted proofs of former information and technology minister Mnaikandan sending her private picture taken without her knowledge. In the proof, he could be seen threateningher to leak them if she goes to the public about their relationship.
Shantini Deva is a Malaysian and has worked in films like Vaagai Sooda Vaa. She is currently sharing the screen with Aishwarya Dutta and Julie in Bigg Boss Tamil fame in PUBG.
