On the most auspicious occasion of GaneshaChaturthi, the entire nation is celebrating is welcoming Bappa with great joy. GaneshaChaturthi, also called Vinayaka Chavithi, is an auspicious Hindu festival whichis celebrated for 10 days every year. It marks the birthday of the belovedelephant-headed Lord Ganesha.

It is believed that in these 10 days Lord Ganeshagraces the earth and brings happiness, wisdom and prosperity for his devotees. GaneshaChaturthi is also celebrated as the birth anniversary of Lord Ganesha, which iscelebrated as per the Hindu calendar in the Bhadrapada month.

Pune’s Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati Temple is awell known Hindu temple. Over hundreds of pilgrims visit every year.

The temple is all decked up for thefestivities. Maha bhog is being prepared to offer Bappa.

One of the Bappa devotee, has offered 5 KgGold Mukut worth Rs 6 Crore to him. Bappa was adorned with new clothes,ornaments and this mukut.

The pics of Bappa are getting viral on socialmedia. The Instagram handle of the temple has shared various posts in whichBappa looks ethereal.

Another famous Bappa temple, Sri SiddhivinayakTemple in Mumbai is live broadcasting its arti and darshan due to covidrestrictions. No processions of Ganpati are allowed in Mumbai.

Adesh Bandekar, Chairman of Sri SiddhivinayakTemple Trust, said, "We are following all government orders and suggestedCovid appropriate behaviour in our temple premises. Devotees are not allowedinside temple premises. Only priests and necessary staff is inside the temple.But we have arranged online Darshan of Sri Siddhivinayak through our socialmedia pages."
