Delhi Crime Season 3 Real Story

Delhi Crime Season 3 is a fictional story inspired by real life events. The series showcase the true story of Baby Falak case that turned out to be a massive human trafficking and even bride trade case. In the series, the name of the baby is Noor.

Baby Noor was left in Delhi AIIMS Trauma Center by a teenage girl. Doctors found that Baby Noor was severely injured including bite marks on her face. Later, it was found out that the teenage girl who was herself a victim of abuse carried out the crime. During the interrogation, she revealed that the baby was continuously crying and she was not able to handle her.

Hence, she bit the baby and the baby accidentally fell on the ground in bathroom. However, the teenage girl was not the mother of Baby Noor. The name of the woman who was real mother of Baby Noor in the series is Shabnam Bano.

Who was real life Baby Falak's mother and what happened to her?

In the real case, Baby Falak’s biological mother was Munni Khatoon. She was traced by Delhi Police during the 2012 investigation into the trafficking network linked to the case. She was traced in Bihar.

As per reports, Munni was separated from her three children by traffickers and one of them were Falak. Falak was passed through multiple hands before being brought to AIIMS.

After Baby Falak's death, her body was handed over to Munni who carried out the baby's last rites.

As per Deccan Herald report published in 2012, Baby Falak's father was Shah Hussain. Notably, Hussain has however been ‘missing’ for years.

After he left the family in Bihar, Munni fell into the trap laid by Shankar, who allegedly trafficked women. Shankar is one of the accused in the Falak case.

“Inspite of so much media coverage, Shah Hussain did not turn up even once to enquire about his wife and children, even after the police visited his house in Muzaffarpur in Bihar several times,” a court order quoted in the report suggests.

As a result, Delhi government's department of women and child development gave an appointment letter to Munni Khatoon to join as a “house aunty” for children at CWC, Lajpat Nagar.
