According to reports, Jinnah bungalow was built in Art Deco-style in 1936 on 2.5 acres overlooking the Arabian Sea, where he resided until leaving for Pakistan in August 1947.

Who now owns Jinnah's bungalow in Mumbai?

The answer is Government of India. Jinnah's mansion is unoccupied. According to Times Now report, in 1948, Jinnah's house was leased to the British High Commission. Decades later, in 2007, Jinnah's only daughter, Dina Wadia, approached the Mumbai High Court, claiming that as Jinnah’s sole legal heir, she should inherit the property.

However, 3 years after the mansion was built, Jinnah had written a will and made his unmarried sister Fatima Jinnah the lone inheritor of his properties.

As per Architexturez, "The Ministry of External Affairs rejected Dina Wadia's claim as the legal heir of Jinnah's properties including the Jinnah House. The Ministry of External Affairs told the Bombay High Court that Mohammad Ali Jinnah's will of 1939 settles the issue of inheritance in the family. Jinnah House belonged to Fatima Jinnah, the MEA said."

But as Fatima Jinnah moved to Pakistan, the Jinnah House came under the control of the Custodian of Enemy Property which comes under the government of India.
