True Scoop tried to dig whose lucky date Jinnah is talking about in the trailer. While most of you may have thought that it might have been Pandit Nehru or Mahatma Gandhi, the reality is August 15 lucky date of Lord Mountbatten.

As per Times of India report, Lord Mountbatten had personally decided the date of August 15 as Indian Independence Day. It was considered to be a lucky day for him, because during World War II, on August 15, 1945 the Japanese Army had surrendered, while he was the commander of the allied forces.

For the unversed, Mountbatten was last Viceroy and the first Governor‑General of independent India.
