The Achievers Group has released its 20-point manifesto for the upcoming Jullundur Gymkhana Club elections, outlining its vision for a modern, transparent, sustainable and member-friendly club. The panel includes Amit Kukreja for Hony. Secretary, Dheeraj Seth for Junior Vice President, Harpreet Singh “Goldy” for Joint Secretary and Saurabh Khullar for Treasurer. The group’s Executive Members are Nitin Behl, Mohinder Singh, Shalini Kalra, Rajive Bansal, Atul Talwar, Vinnie Dhawan, M.B. Bali, Jubin Shangari and Rishu Jhanji.
The key points of the manifesto are:
1. Better Food Quality, Quantity & Service: The group will work towards improving the quality, quantity and service of food to provide members with a better dining experience.
2. Premium Bar Experience: Bar and liquor services will be made more attractive, with efforts to provide subsidised liquor rates.
3. Senior Citizen Upahar Scheme & Membership Benefits: The eligibility age for the existing Senior Citizen Upahar Scheme will be reduced from 70 to 65 years. The group will also pursue membership transfer facilities for grandsons and granddaughters and organise regular medical camps on club premises.
4. Dedicated Walking Track for Senior Citizens: A dedicated walking track for senior citizens will be developed to address a long-standing demand of members.
5. Subsidised Rates for New Sports: Subsidised rates will be introduced for sports such as Pickleball, Padel and Box Cricket to encourage greater participation.
6. Modern Gym Facilities: The gym will be upgraded with modern equipment and machinery to provide members with improved fitness facilities.
7. Special Facilities for 70+ Senior Citizens: Senior citizens above 70 years of age whose children are club members will be provided free entry. A special Senior Citizen Card will also be introduced with no entry charges.
8. Free Gazebo Facility for 70+ Members: Members above 70 years of age will be allowed to use the Gazebo free of cost with their families.
9. Multi-Utility Card: A Multi-Utility Card will be introduced, providing access to Squash, Tennis, Swimming and other facilities at subsidised rates.
10. Covered Swimming Pool: The swimming pool will be covered and modernised to provide members with a more comfortable and improved facility.
11. Service to Mankind: Organ Donation Initiative: A dedicated Social Service and Organ Donation Portfolio will be created. The initiative will focus on creating awareness about voluntary donation of eyes and other organs or tissues among families of deceased members, wherever medically and legally possible. The group said the initiative would be carried out with sensitivity and respect, without putting pressure on grieving families.
12. Financial Transparency & Accountability: The club’s financial management will be strengthened through greater transparency, proper budgeting, project costing and periodic financial reviews.
13. Annual Development Plan: A structured 12-month development plan will be prepared every year with clear priorities, timelines and regular monitoring of major projects.
14. Members’ Grievance & Suggestion System: A dedicated system will be established to ensure that members’ concerns and suggestions are heard, recorded and addressed within a defined timeframe.
15. Digital Gymkhana: One-Click Member Services: Digital services will be strengthened for bookings, payments, sports slots, events, announcements, feedback and complaints through an integrated digital platform.
16. Revenue Generation Without Unnecessary Burden on Members: Better utilisation of existing club facilities and spaces will be explored to create additional revenue streams and support development without placing an unnecessary financial burden on members.
17. Transparent Vendor & Procurement Management: Vendor selection and procurement for food, liquor, housekeeping, maintenance, sports equipment and other services will follow transparent evaluation, quality checks and periodic rate comparisons.
18. Family-Centric & Sports Development Programme: The Gymkhana Club will be developed as a more family-friendly and sports-oriented club, with structured activities, coaching programmes, tournaments and events for children, youngsters, women and senior citizens.
19. Green & Sustainable Gymkhana: The group will work towards a more environment-friendly and sustainable club through rainwater harvesting, water conservation, waste management and increased green cover.
20. Members’ Connect & Promise to Performance: A regular “Meet the Secretary” interaction will be introduced, allowing members to directly share their ideas, suggestions and concerns. The group said the manifesto would not remain limited to promises. Major commitments would have clear priorities, timelines and regular progress reviews to ensure accountability and execution.
