For the first time in 17 years, 400 families of Shaurya Green Residents Welfare Society, Surya Enclave, finally got an opportunity to meet CM Bhagwant Mann, thanks to the determined efforts of Nitin Kohli, Jalandhar Central AAP in-charge.
Society office bearers — President PVS Pathania and General Secretary Rakesh Behal — highlighted unresolved issues, including pending flat registrations, lifts, multi-story parking, fire safety systems, CCTV cameras, wall strengthening, and apartment maintenance. Residents also raised concerns about the builders’ negligence and the Improvement Trust’s inaction over the years.
Responding promptly, CM Bhagwant Mann directed the district administration and Improvement Trust officials to resolve these issues and ensure all promised facilities are provided within a stipulated timeframe.
Residents expressed heartfelt gratitude to Nitin Kohli, whose proactive efforts and persistent follow-ups brought their grievances directly to the CM. “After 17 years of neglect, Nitin Kohli has given us hope for justice and a better future,” said several residents, marking a turning point in their long struggle for basic amenities.
