Akali Dal encouraging gangsterism to fulfil political interests: Kuldeep Dhaliwal

He questions Akali Dal’s intent and asks whether the party plans to return to power with the help of gangsters.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA and Chief Spokesperson Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal targets the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) over the issue of gangsterism. He raises questions on the presence of Akali Dal leaders at the functions of a family that has its association with gangsters.

He criticizes the Shiromani Akali Dal president Sukhbir Singh Badal for attending such functions. He criticizes how on one hand, Sukhbir Badal has actively been saying that gangsterism in Punjab is not coming to an end while on the other hand, contradicting his own words, he and other Akali Dal leaders openly attend events that are organized by the families of gangsters.

He further raises question on Akali Dal’s intent and asks whether the party plans to return to power with the help of gangsters. Talking further about this he says that by attending the family weddings of gangsters, Sukhbir Singh Badal and his party members have given proof of their close relations with these gangsters.

He adds that on the other hand, contrary to SAD, the Mann government is trying to free Punjab from gangsterism while Akali Dal is busy in conspiring to gain political benefits by leading the youth on this destructive path. He warns the people of Punjab and appeals them to be careful of such people who are plotting to destroy Punjab.
