Lok Sabha MP Amritpal Singh was produced before the Ajnala court on Thursday through video conferencing and the court had on the previous day sent him to 14 days of judicial custody while during today’s hearing the police presented the challan (charge sheet) after completing their investigation in the case.
After reviewing the challan the court ordered that the trial will now be conducted in the Sessions Court Amritsar starting from May 2 and officials confirmed that Amritpal Singh will continue to remain lodged in a jail in Assam and will be produced in court through video conferencing as required. Police also informed the court that no recovery has been made from Amritpal Singh in connection with this case.
