Punjab's weather has confused its residents ever since the rainfall impact on the state has ended. Punjab is witnessing warmer daytime temperature and the temperature is dropping sharply in the night time. Many reports have already declared that 'Winter is here' in Punjab.
In the meantime, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) of Chandigarh unit on October 10 readings registered 12.5°C lowest temperature or let's say night-time temperature of a district in Punjab.

Asper IMD Chandigarh, Fazilka registered 12.5°C. The Weather department also pointed that a total of 4.8°C dropped in the district in the night-time.
Amritsar witnessed 17.9°C, Ludhiana- 18.6°C, Patiala- 18.6°C, Pathankot- 17.2°C, Bathinda- 16°C, Faridkot- 16.9°C, etc.
Talking about day-time temperature, Fazilka registered maximum temperature of 29.6°C.
As per reports, the slight temperature rise during the day is part of a transitional phase between monsoon withdrawal and the onset of winter in northern India. In the coming weeks, Punjab is likely to witness gradual cooling during early mornings and late evenings, especially in districts like Amritsar, Hoshiarpur, and Gurdaspur.
