With October 2025 knocking the doors, Punjab's Weather has put the people of the state on edge due to high temperature. People of Punjab have been experiencing summer-like hot temperature, especially in the afternoon. While Punjab Floods 2025 is done and dusted, it was expected the weather will remain cooler. But, till September 29, 2025, the weather remained hot.
In the meantime, the weather department has already warned that this year winters in Punjab will shiver residents to their core. Punjab Winters 2025 is predicted to be intense.

It has been predicted that Punjab will witness freezing winters that will be chillier than normal.
US Climate Prediction Center that predicted that there is a 71% likelihood of La Niña forming between October and December 2025. The chances ease to around 54% during December to February 2026, but a formal watch remains active.
IMD has reportedly noted that a stronger chance of La Niña setting in after the monsoon.
Weather records show that in a normal year, October highs remain around 32–34°C with lows in the low-20s. By November, the daytime maximum usually falls closer to 25–28°C, while nights can slip into the low teens. But this year, early indicators suggest temperatures may slide further, especially in rural belts and foothill regions where morning frost is not uncommon by late November.
As per reports, a mild winter will start from the first week of October 2025. Mild cold will be felt between Dussehra and Diwali, but after the festivals, as the temperature drops, the cold will become even more intense. The months of December and January will be at its peak.
As per AccuWeather, temperatures in Jalandhar will start to fall in October. For instance, till October 10, the lower temperature is in 20 degree Celsius. However, AccuWeather predicts that the temperature is expected to go as low as 19°C from October 14. Similar is in the case of Ludhiana as well.
There is prediction that temperature in Amritsar will go down more as compared to Jalandhar and Ludhiana. Amritsar is expected to witness 16°C on October 14 and 18°C on October 15.
