After a July with almost no bank holidays in Punjab, August brings relief with three consecutive bank holidays.
Punjab banks will remain closed on 9th August to celebrate Raksha bandana day.
As per the Hindu Calendar Raksha Bandana is celebrated on the full moon day of Shravan month.
This important national holiday will be immediately followed by a Sunday.
August 11, 2025 will be a normal working day for the banks of Punjab.
In total, August will have five Sundays and two second Saturdays (on the 10th and 24th), offering additional days off for bank employees and customers alike.
