A news of a brother-sister duo passing away after eating momos is being reported from Tarn Taran. As per reports, the duo fell ill and their health deteriorated overnight; the parents took the kids to hospital next morning where the doctors declared them brought dead.
As per the family, the children ate momos and chapattis the night earlier and shortly after that they started vomiting, following a prolonged period of distress the duo fell asleep but did not wake up in the morning. Following the incident, the police have detained a street vendor who sells momos and an investigation is underway. The bodies of the two children have been kept in the Civil Hospital’s mortuary, and the police have stated that the exact cause of death will be known only the post-mortem report is received.
The grieving mother Neha says that, "The children were perfectly healthy." Neha has been married to Vishal and were residents of DSP Wali Gali located in Tarn Taran. They had two kids: 6-year-old Aarav and 9-year-old Danika. Neha shares that on Saturday evening, the children insisted on eating momos, following which their father brought them momos and chapattis from a street vendor at a short distance from their home. Reportedly, the kids ate the food around 8 PM and later went to watch Television. Later, around 10 PM, both the children fell ill and started to vomit. The parents brushing it off, not considering it as a serious problem gave the kids anti-vomiting medicine that they had at hand, and the kids went to sleep around 4 AM.
The following morning around 8 AM, the mother checked upon the kids and noticed that the kids do not have a heartbeat and were rushed to the hospital.
