Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Friday addressed a press conference. CM Bhagwant Mann held a press conference just a day after being discharged from Fortis Hospital. CM Mann was admitted to hospital after visiting flood-hit areas. Former Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia informed that CM Mann's pulse dropped to 44 and he suffered electrolyte imbalance.
During the press conference, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann said, "I ordered all DCs where water level has gone down, start assessment from today itself, and ensure compensation is given timely."
CM Mann also assured, "We will make sure transparency is maintained and, every affected individual receives compensation.If needed, compensation amount will be raised."
After being discharged and reaching home, CM Mann turned his focus to flood relief operations, directing officials to provide him with full updates. Sourced had informed True Scoop that CM Mann on Friday had called a high-level meeting at his residence, where secretaries of all departments were directed to be present and deputy commissioners from every district via video conferencing. Each officer was asked to present a detailed account of relief and rehabilitation work carried out so far.
