A fatal accident took place at Chogitti flyover in Jalandhar. The bike rider died at the spot after he was hit by a speeding truck on the national highway.
A bike ride succumbed to instant death after the accident near Chaugiti flyover in Jalandhar. The man was seriously injured when he was hit by a truck on the national highway, reports received stated.
The policeman in the case stated that he was coming back from his family members.
The accident was horrific enough that the man was badly crushed leading to his blood spelling out.
Police were informed about the accident immediately. Police arrived at the scene and admitted the injured bike rider to Johal Hospital, where his condition is reported to be critical. Police found the phone in the pocket of the bike rider and alerted his family to the news.
According to reports, the truck driver tried to run away from the location of the accident but was apprehended by the police.
The fleeing driver has been brought to order and is being taken to Rama Mandi police station, the police officer added.
