Firing at Dr. Yashpal’s residence in Santokh Pura: Jalandhar police net two accused with weapons

Approximately 10 bullets were shot at Dr. Yashpal’s car and residence at 1:40 am on February 28

An incident of gunfire was reported from Jalandhar’s Santokh Pura locality, and in a significant development in the case, today the Jalandhar police have arrested both the accused.

As per reports, the incident took place a few days ago late at night, when two criminals arrived on a bike and fired at the car parked outside Dr. Yashpal’s house, following which they opened fire at his residence and fled the scene.

In a press conference, CP Dhanpreet Kaur revealed the arrest of Jagjit Singh, son of Daljit Singh, resident of village Badala Johal Bhana Jandiala, and Lovepreet Singh, son of Kulwant Singh, resident of village Badala Johal, Police Station Jandiala Guru Amritsar who opened fire at Dr. Yashpal’s house.

Police have recovered two pistols, a 30-bore and a 32-bore, with their respective magazines, a Splendor bike, and some clothes. Approximately 10 bullets were shot at Dr. Yashpal’s car and residence at 1:40 am on February 28. The criminals had fled the scene and ran towards Kartarpur after carrying out the f1ring. A FIR has been lodged against the criminals, and they have been arrested. The police will soon present the arrested accused in court and question them regarding the weapons and other incidents.
