A government holiday has been declared across Punjab on May 27, 2026 on account of Eid-ul-Zuha (Bakrid) and as a result all government offices, educational institutions and public sector organisations will remain closed on Wednesday.

Due to the holiday government and private schools and colleges across the state will also remain shut and all government institutions will remain closed. Authorities have clarified that while regular services will be suspended due to the holiday essential services will continue to function as per standard arrangements.
