Jalandhar Bhargav Camp robber Kushal tries to escape Police custody, stolen gold recovered

As per Jalandhar Police, Kushal tried to escape from the police custody when they took him to recover the stolen items.

In a major update in Jalandhar Bhargav Camp robbery case, mastermind Kushal tried to escape from the Police Custody. As per Jalandhar Police, Kushal tried to escape from the police custody when they took him to recover the stolen items. Kushal jumped from a wall and while trying to escape he fractured his leg.

Kushal was caught by the Police and he was admitted to the Civil Hospital, Jalandhar, for medical treatment.

Jalandhar Bhargav Camp robbery case update

The Jalandhar Commissionerate Police has achieved a major breakthrough in the Bhargo Camp robbery case by arresting three accused along with their shelter provider and recovering the looted gold, the motorcycle used in the crime along with clothing worn during the incident.

Jalandhar CP Dhanpreet Kaur, informed that FIR No. 167 dated 30.10.2025 under Sections 309(4), 3(5) of BNS and 25/54/59 Arms Act was registered at Police Station Bhargo Camp, Jalandhar, on the complaint of Ajay Kumar, son of Vijay Kumar, resident of 72-A, Avtar Nagar. The complainant stated that on October 30, 2025, around 10 AM, three unidentified persons committed a robbery at his jewellery shop, Vijay Jewellers, at gunpoint.

In this regard, on 03.11.2025, a special police team was formed under the supervision of Manpreet Singh Dhillon (DCP/Investigation), Jayant Puri (ADCP/Investigation), Harinder Singh Gill (ADCP-II), Amarbir Singh (ACP/Crime) and Sarwanjit Singh (ACP/West), in which the police teams of Incharge CIA-Staff, Incharge Special Cell and Incharge Crime Branch and Police Station Bhargo Camp conducted raids at various places based on the examination of CCTV cameras, technical assistance and human intelligence information and arrested the three accused who had committed the incident along with the shelter provider from near Brahma Mandir, Pushkar, District Ajmer (Rajasthan).

Stolen items from Bhargav Camp Robbery recovered

The accused were produced before the Court and police remand was obtained. During the police remand, the police recovered 8 gold ladies sets, a black hoodie worn during the incident from accused Kushal; 40 gold ladies tops and a black hoodie worn during the incident from accused Karan; and 12 gold chains, 7 gold ladies rings, a motorcycle brand Hero Splendor , a sickle and a red hoodie worn during the incident from accused Gagan.

During the investigation, it also came to light that the pistol used in the robbery was handed over by the accused to one of their friends after the incident. Efforts are ongoing to apprehend that individual and recover the weapon.
