Cambridge International School (Co-Ed) in Jalandhar celebrates 79th Independence Day

The day was marked not just with vibrant performances but with powerful learning moments designed to instill a deeper understanding of the nation’s history and values among students.

Cambridge International School (Co-Ed) celebrated India’s 79th Independence Day with patriotic fervour and purpose. The day was marked not just with vibrant performances but with powerful learning moments designed to instill a deeper understanding of the nation’s history and values among students.

Reflecting the vision of our esteemed President, Ms. Pooja Bhatia, the school firmly believes that every historically significant day should go beyond rituals and be transformed into a meaningful, hands-on learning experience. Her vision is rooted in the belief that real education happens when children are emotionally and intellectually engaged in the context of national events.

According to her, students should not merely witness celebrations—they should live through them, understand their relevance and carry the values they represent throughout their lives.

By embedding historical significance in experiential learning, she aims to shape learners who are not only academically strong but also socially aware, emotionally intelligent and rooted in the values of unity, integrity and courage.

This vision was brought to life through a thoughtfully designed programme featuring meaningful performances by students from Pre-Nursery to Grade XII. Each segment was carefully curated with specific learning objectives—from fostering empathy and critical thinking to developing a deep sense of patriotism and national pride.

Kindergarteners portraying national heroes, igniting an early understanding of bravery and contribution.
Primary and Middle School students staging historical enactments such as the Dandi March, Partition of India, Pulwama Attack, and Jallianwala Bagh, bringing history alive through powerful visual storytelling.
The innovative “Scoop Lab” presentation, where students showcased their podcasting and creative thinking skills, blending technology with expression.

Chairman Mr. Nitin Kohli, Vice Chairman Mr. Deepak Bhatia, Vice President Mr. Parth Bhatia, and Executive Director Mr. Dhruv Bhatia—commended the students' dedication and encouraged them to be true citizens and render their responsibilities sincerely as the nation builders of tomorrow.

They also highlighted the value of true patriotic spirit in shaping a progressing and empowered nation. They acknowledged the efforts of everyone who made the event a grand success.

Vice Principal, Education Officer, and Academic Dean also conveyed their heartfelt congratulations, applauding the students and parents for their collective spirit, active participation, and unwavering enthusiasm.

This grand celebration was made possible by the tireless efforts of Coordinators, dedicated teachers, admin team, and support staff, who truly left no stone unturned in planning and executing every detail to perfection.

And at the heart of it all were students — the true showstoppers. Their energy, creativity, and passion lit up the stage and turned this day into an unforgettable celebration of learning, unity, and patriotism.

This year’s Independence Day celebration at Cambridge International School (Co-Ed) was not just an event—it was a living classroom. It brought together learning, leadership and love for the nation in a beautiful harmony. With every act, speech and song, students were not only honouring the past but also stepping into their roles as the changemakers of tomorrow.
