Jalandhar, Ludhiana, and other districts of Punjab on Friday morning witnessed dense fog. Punjab has been wrapped in thick layer of fog for two days now i.e. on December 18 and December 19. Now, India Meteorological Department (IMD) of Chandigarh unit has made new predictions for fog in Punjab.
IMD Chandigarh on Friday put Jalandhar, Ludhiana and many other districts on red alert for 'dense fog at many places' on December 19. However, the weather department has also predicted that Punjab Weather is all set to return to normalcy for 2 i.e. no dense fog.
December 19- on red alert- Amritsar, Kapurthala, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Mohali, and Patiala
on orange alert- Pathankot, Gurdaspur, Hoshiarpur, Nawanshahr, Rupnagar, Fatehgarh Sahib, Sanguru, Barnala, Moga, Bathinda, and Mansa
on yellow alert- Ferozepur, Faridkot, Muktasar, and Fazilka
December 20- on yellow alert- Mohali, Fatehgarh Sahib, Patiala, and Sangrur
December 21- No Alert
December 22- No Alert
It is pertinent to mention here that dense fog is then expected to return in Jalandhar and other districts on December 23.
